Happy Day

Well, I finally did it! I've been wanting to get one those DSLR cameras that everyone has been raving about, for quite some time now. After borrowing my friend Amy's Nikon d3000 for a few days, I was in love... and had to get my own. So I did! I don't know a thing about DSLRs but I'm excited to learn. I took a few shots of my Hydrangeas straight away, since they are exceptionally blue this year!

  1. You will never look back... Congratulations! I work with the Canon 5-D-, so may not be as useful in the question department as some one with a Nikon set up - I am sure your friend will help you out though- Thanks again for your great blog.

  7. The hydrangea looks fabulous, indeed a wonderful blue. Glad to see there are more people photographing their flowers! It's something I've been doing for some time now too, even started my own blog a month ago and yes, there are pictures of the hydrangeas in our garden!

  8. So gorgeous! My mum used to dig in old coal from the fireplace and old tin cans into the soil around our hydrangeas for brilliant results. Now I want a camera like yours. Did you buy the same model as your friend's??

  9. Hi Elane, I've heard that rusty nails work too for the Hydrangeas.
